Delete your Wisper account
You can delete your Wisper account and its data at any time, from the app or by sending us a request if the app is no longer installed.
Delete your account in the app
Go to You → Account → Delete account.
Open Wisper
Sign in to the account you want to delete.
Tap the You tab
It's the last tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Account
In the list of settings.
Tap Delete account
Confirm when asked. Your data is deleted and you're signed out.
What gets deleted
From our server, permanently:
- Notes, transcripts, and note versions
- Tasks, folders, and custom styles
- Your profile (name, email, language, and onboarding answers)
- Subscription status and support messages
- Your sign-in account (Firebase Authentication)
On the device you delete from: all Wisper notes, recordings, and settings are erased.
What's kept, and for how long
- Backups: deleted data disappears from our nightly backups within 14 days.
- Device usage counts: minimal counts linked to the device identifier, with no content, may be kept for about a month so Free limits can't be reset by re-creating an account.
- Purchase records: Apple, Google, and RevenueCat keep these under their own policies (for receipts, refunds, and tax).
- Other devices: if Wisper is installed on another phone, its local copy stays until you sign out or uninstall the app there.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a Wisper Pro subscription. Cancel it in your store settings to stop future charges:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wisper → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wisper → Cancel subscription
No longer have the app? Request deletion
You don't need to reinstall Wisper to delete your account. Send us a deletion request with the form below, or email support@whispernotes.app with the subject "Account deletion request".
Include the email address of the Apple or Google account you sign in with. If you used Apple's Hide My Email, include the relay address if you know it. To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm that it's yours. We'll delete the same data listed above and confirm by email within 30 days.
Prefer to do it yourself? Reinstall Wisper, sign in with the same Apple or Google account, and go to You → Account → Delete account.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- One note: open the note and choose Delete from the menu.
- All notes: go to You → Data → Delete all notes.
- Recordings: these are stored only on your device. Deleting a note deletes its recording, and you can choose not to keep audio in You → Notes.
